Rhetorical Analasis

In this rhetorical analais essay, I’ll tell you about a famous movie poster. This movie is the called The Forbidden Planet.  I’ll tell how ; they deliver the message on the movie poster Who is the movie poster is targeted at to see this in the theaters, and How the entire poster appeals to a logical emotions that the target audience has. Will this affect the for the people when they go see this themselves. Now I’ll give the full summary on this vintage movie poster ,and how it gets the message across and why they had showed in movies houses.

They deliver this message on this poster by showing many different details. The message of this poster is that this is an science fiction movie, and the poster urges that you should go see it. Another part of the advertisement is  that it could be a classic for years to come in movie theater history. I think this would probably be hanging in front of the theater , and sometimes they would show a sneak  peak during  the coming attractions. That’s how this vintage movie poster shows it’s true message  to anyone who sees the poster.

This movie poster sends many messages.   One of the first messages that it gives is a battle between good and evil. Another large message that it gives out  to the public is  that it could have been a summer blockbuster when it was in the movie theaters. If a lot of friends saw this film must have been talking about it for a couple of days. If any young kids went to go see this, after they saw it they may reenact some scene in the back yard.  Maybe if a little boy had a toy robot he probably would take one of his sister’s dolls and pretend that the robot has captured the beautiful lady from the movie. One of the last messages that this poster sends is the artwork that went into designing it. Even today artist work hard to get detail in movie posters today. Movie posters are created to send a message

The people that this movie is targeting are many different kinds of people. One of the first groups are probably the ones who enjoy something science fiction.  Another kind are the one who like seeing beautiful women being captured by an alien robot, or some villain or creature. Remember King Kong ? The logical emotions with this poster are the poster itself . By looking at it ,you can say that it can be a romantic adventure film. If it’s a romantic there probably is the strong man who will save her from the robot in the end.  Now the last target emotions it has is it can be a movie for the whole family if they go see the film. That’s how the vintage poster targets its right audience , and it’s logical emotions along with it.

These are the ways movie posters have sent audience for decades.

  1. You have a good structure here with focused paragraphs--good! I don't think you need the first paragraph though (which doesn't give too much info but just tells us what you're going to tell us). I'd get started more quickly with an actual description of the ad itself, which you get to in para. 2). I'd like to see more of what the poster looks like, though. What does it show? What does the text say? You talk about it, but don't really say what the poster looks like.
